- Peter Tonningsen and Lisa Levine met at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley where they were both artists-in-residence. They live in Alameda and teach fine art photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Lisa and Peter have been collaborating for several years utilizing their unique method of repetitive shooting and exchange of film to create layered imagery depicting multidimensional perspectives of time and place.
- Their work has been widely exhibited and they have completed several public art commissions throughout the Bay Area and Nationwide. Their work is included in the collections of the San Francisco Art Commission. S.F. Public Utilities Commission, the Alameda County Art Commission, Highland Hospital, City of Walnut Creek Library, the Oakland Museum, Atlanta's Mayor's Office, David Brower Center, Hahnemule Photo Collection, and Kala Art Institute, as well as several private collections. Lisa and Peter are represented by the San Francisco Museum or Modern Art Artist Gallery, Kala Print Center, and Slate Art Consulting.
